Steven Hill, Darian Townes and Sonny Weems, three former Razorback basketball players, recently completed play in the National Basketball Association's Summer League in Las Vegas.

Weems, a first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection last year for the Razorbacks, was drafted in the second round by the Chicago Bulls and traded to Denver. Hill, a 7-0 center who became just the fourth player in SEC history to record 300 or more blocked shots (318 ), played for Portland. Townes, who finished his career 19 th at Arkansas in scoring (1, 318 points ) and 10 th in rebounding (644 ), played for Sacramento.

In five games, Weems started twice and averaged 9. 2 points and 3. 0 rebounds. Hill also played in five games with two starts, and averaged 2. 6 points, 1. 8 rebounds and a team-high 2. 2 blocked shots. Townes played in just one game, finishing with 14 points and six rebounds.

Weems helped Denver finish 4-1 and tie for the best record with Golden State and Milwaukee. In his first game, a 99-85 win over Philadelphia on July 12, Weems was 8-of-15 from the floor in 21 minutes, and had 17 points and three rebounds. In his first start, a 105-104 win over Houston on July 18, he was 5-of-15 shooting, but had 16 points and four rebounds. In the last game, a 92-79 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on July 19, Weems started and had seven points, four rebounds and four assists.

Hill helped the Trail Blazers finish 3-2. He was 5-of-8 shooting (. 625 ) and 3-of-4 at the line (. 750 ). In a 78-73 win over Washington, he had one rebound. In a 75-74 loss to Sacramento, he had one rebound and one blocked shot. In the last three games, he averaged 4. 3 points, 2. 3 rebounds and 3. 3 blocked shots. He had one point, one rebound and four blocked shots in 20 minutes of an 88-78 loss to Minnesota on July 17. In his first start, a 74-73 win over Phoenix on July 19, he had four points, three rebounds, two blocked shots and a steal. In the last game, a 78-63 win over New Orleans on July 20, he started and played 28 minutes, and finished with eight points, three rebounds, four blocked shots and a steal.

Townes appeared in one game for the Kings, a 93-71 loss to Dallas on July 16. He played 19 minutes and was 4-of-7 from the floor and 6-of-11 from the line to finish with 14 points.

Weems, Hill and Townes helped Arkansas go 23-12 last season in John Pelphrey's first season as head coach. The Razorbacks reached the finals of the SEC Tournament and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
